I am really enjoying the
I am really enjoying the compact cordless for all the reasons below and that it’s much quieter . I don’t get so much tendonitis / RSI (!) with this one being lighter than the corded original doxy but this off sets as it’s slightly less power and it may take me a little longer to cum but that is a small price to pay. The only issue I have really is with the build up and down setting - it could be a bit more protracted on the lowest slowest setting as with the corded one - there is a difference but don’t know how many seconds but I suppose that’s a personal choice and everyone is different

Hi Karen, Thanks for such a detailed review and I’m really pleased the lighter Compact is proving easier on your hands and wrists. I would push back slightly on the power point though. The Compact is actually very comparable to the plug-in in outright performance, and compared with the previous cordless Die Cast 3R it has a considerably deeper, rumblier feel. We were able to achieve that by increasing the head size slightly, which gave us room for a larger internal weight and therefore more depth to the vibration. Your point about the progression between levels is a really useful one too. We took that early feedback onboard straight away and have already made changes to the next production batch, so future units will have a smoother, more noticeable progression between the settings. Great rumbles, but hurt by the quick heat build up.
A bit hard to use soce it heats up so fast on teally any setting. Vibrations are definitely better and more rumbly than my Hitachi, but it fails drastically in comparison to the hitach on comfortable sustained use. For short use, like a couple of minutes, its great but Id recommend covering wherever your using it with like a microfiber cloth or use a good deal of luube to try and reduce the friction and heat. Doing all that maked it pretty inconvenient. Its especially noticeable when using it on a chastity cage. Which is what I primarily bought it for. may be better for other use, but most of the time I just use the hitachi instead for convenience.

Hi Jeremy, Thanks for the detailed review. The Hitachi and the Die Cast Max are actually quite different products in terms of construction. A Hitachi is lighter, plastic-bodied and not a fully sealed metal unit, so heat can dissipate very differently during extended use. The Die Cast Max is built around a solid metal, fully sealed body. That construction is a big part of what gives it the deeper, heavier rumble you’ve noticed, but it also means that during a longer session the casing will naturally retain more heat rather than venting it away. For that reason, we recommend taking a break after around 30 minutes of continuous use and allowing the unit to cool before continuing. So if long, uninterrupted sessions with a lighter and cooler-bodied wand are your priority, I would suggest the Doxy Original. I’m pleased you’ve noticed the extra depth and rumble though, as that’s exactly what the Max was designed to deliver. Thanks for the honest feedback. Leigh
